Hi to all,
I've created a disk image with clonezilla-live-1.2.12-37-i486 and now I would like to know if it is possible to restore only a partition from that disk image by writing it in a wider disk partition (but with different /dev/sda number).
If it is possible I can minimize the backup disk size and be able to repartition the disk erasing some partitions.
Thank you,
Xwang

Yes, you can restore only a partition from the disk image. Just remember that the destination partition size must be equal to or larger than the source one.
Steven.

I've got the same question. Would someone please explain how this is done? Thanks.
A short answer: It's not a normal cloning. That's why look for 'Again - Restore to Different Partition' in 'Clonezilla Help'.
