problem is that in the documenation you tell me to choose the number of clients - Clonezilla tells me theres no need to put a client-number when using BT.
there is also another thing that isn't described in the documentation - i am asked which partition table i want to use.
result:
the clients get stuck in the PXE-Boot-Menu and don't do anything. clients don' receive the image.
the host tells me to type (y) when all clients have finished
i put images in the attachment.
info:
i already used Clonezilla with the image function "Multicast (without BT)" and it worked like a charm. i just had to start the clients with PXE and no need to put an extra boot stick in those devices.
The docs ares old, we should find some time to update them.
For BT, there is no need to assign the number of clients. We improved that in newer Clonezilla live.
" the clients get stuck in the PXE-Boot-Menu and don't do anything. clients don' receive the image." -> Please take some photos about the messages on the screen. It's easier for us to understand.
Thanks.

The problem was the cable - i used a different cable for the host, which had no function indeed.

its a little bit irritating if there are other technical issues (like i had with the cable) and in the docs is a small divergent from the actual process. thank you very much for you fast answer!!
BUG-REPORT FROM ME:
Deploying an Image via BT will get stuck in the process "Image conversion for BT" at 1,73%.
Image is in the attachment. the "remaining time" recalculates every two seconds and increases.
GENERELL Question:
Is BT faster than Multicast or an equivalent alternative with Cloning from device?
Is BT more usefull for a high number devices?
in my test-run cloning an single image on a machine (15min) was 3xtimes faster
than cloning a full-host on a single client-machine (45min).
Do you have docs about how BT-mechanics work on your website? i didn't find anything useful through googling.
Hi!
I want to copy one disk as source on 10 target disks.
Everything is connected to the same switch and the source pc has an USB with an started Clonezilla-Live-Lite-Server.
I did everything like described here: https://clonezilla.org/show-live-doc-content.php?topic=clonezilla-live/doc/12_lite_server_BT_from_dev

For the conversion, this is the related discussions:
https://sourceforge.net/p/clonezilla/discussion/Clonezilla_live/thread/04d7c0f1b1/?limit=25#8e44
It was fixed in Clonezilla live >= 3.0.3-10 or 20230110-*:
