How do I restore an image of a non-partitioned harddisk to this same harddisk, which now has been partitioned - and into the 1st partition?
The OS is XP, Clonezilla is a recent version.
My impression is that my newly created partitions are being erased by Clonezilla, during the restoring process.
If I use the 'partition restore' function, then it tells me 30 GB (this is the size provided by me) is 'not enough for the image', because the size were '120 GB' (? from my memory). But that is about half the size of the entire external harddisk where the image is on, not the one of the image, which has about 25 GB.
I have already checked several earlier replies from inside this field. I didn't understand them because they were made 'from experts for experts', according to my impression. If you see my problem and are ready to help, could you please do it in a fool-proof manner?
Thanks in advance. .)

Sorry, I do not understand…
What did you mean by "an image of a non-partitioned harddisk"?
