    Hello!

I'm cloning a master copy of XP to 200+ computers at a high school in Los Angeles. These are old pentium D's but they do the job well enough and I'd much rather make the most of existing tech than buy new equipment. Since the manafacturer's image is outdated and heavily bloated, I created my own image.

The source drive is a 64GB SSD (Crucial M4). It is in the host machine and the target drives are 160GB Seagates conencted via USB. Everything works great and the image gets across real well too - but the "-k1" switch doesn't seem to work properly as it leaves the extra space unallocated in any partition.

I can fix this I belive using Gparted, but that would add a extensive step to every computer I clone and I am already doing my best to do this after hours without pay.

Any help? Or am I simply doing it wrong?

PS: I am using the k1 switch by using expert mode, then choose it in the menu.

"the "-k1" switch doesn't seem to work properly as it leaves the extra space unallocated in any partition. " -> How much space does it leave? Could you give me the before and after partition table files so that I can check.

As an alternative solution, you can find a destination disk, create a partition table on that, then use expert mode and choose "-k" to restore the image. After that, save the disk as new image. Then you have a new image.

    Steven.
