My son had a computer with 2 disks. One SSD, one spinny drive. We created an image with both disks to a single image. No errors that I recall.
Now trying to restore that image to drives, I get a clonezilla error saying the image was written from 2 disks and this program can't restore to multiple disks. I've tried ensureing the sda, sdb names match, I've tried restoring it to one bigger drive that could hold it all, tried all kinds of different ways to Sunday to get this image to restore with no luck.
Why would CZ allow me to create an image from 2 HDD, but not be able to restore it?

At this point we're just trying to get some files from the image, and have tried many of the "work-arounds" to extract/mount idividual drives with no luck. I've used CZ for years with no issues (usually just normal singel disk stuff) and not exactly a linux noob, but could use more work in my CLI department.
Any advice on getting CZ to restore a multi-disk image. I'm not talking about cloning the same image across many devices, but the image to a single computer with multiple drives.

If the image was saved from two disks, you should be able to choose "restoredisk" and choose the destination disks "sda" and "sdb". It should work.
Maybe you can take more photos about the steps you have done, and show the error messages on the screen? If so, please post them.
