I am trying to take an image of my Windows 7 partition. I have tried saving to both an attached USB device as well as an SSH server. Each time, I get the message below:
activating the partition info in /proc
No input device !
I read other posts in the forums and the result of cat /proc/partitions is:
Major Minor #blocks name
8 16 31266648 sdb
8 0 976762584 sda
11 0 111616 sr0
8 32 1953514584 sdc
8 33 1953513560 sdc1
The result of cat /proc/cmdline is:
initrd=/live/initrd.img boot=live config noswap nolocales edd=on nomodeset ocs_live_run="ocs-live-general" ocs_live_extra_param ="" ocs_live_keymap"" ocs_live_batch = "no" ocs_lang="" vga=788 ip=frommedia nosplash BOOT_IMAGE=/lve/vmlinuz
I have tried both beginner/expert modes and saving disk as well as saving partition. But each time ends in the same error.
Thank you.

So the disk you want to take an image is sdc? Or sda? sdb?
Now in Clonezilla only the disk with partition(s) will be treated as a disk with data. So if you want to take an image for sda and sdb, Clonezilla will ignore that.
