    Hello Help@Clonezilla Members,

I have a PC with 2 disks, SSD (sda) and HDD (sdb). The SSD contains a Linux Lite, the second was formatted on Windows 7, but no files on it. The SSD boots without problems.
I restored a Clonezilla Image (from another Windows 7 PC) to the HDD. Now the PC doesn't boot after Restore.
The Linux goes into a "safe mode", where I can enter a root password after it tried 1:30 minute to get access to a disk (I guess to the ssd?).
So, I assume that restoring the image from USB-Disk sdd, Clonezilla not only write to HDD, but also writes (some bytes?) to the SSD?
In the BIOS is set Legacy Mode for booting.

I don't know how to search for a solution, so I would be grateful for hints.
What cause the Boot-Problem of a functionable Linux through the Clonezilla-Restore on another disk? How can I "repair"?

    Kind regards, Detlef

I have found the reason in Linux-fstab. The file had an entry for mounting the second disk, but the UUID of the disk had probably changed due to the restore. The Soultion was: Linux Lite could be booted into a recoverymode (single user), in which I could edit the fstab (Comment out the mount of the 2. Disk). Et voila, the SSD could boot with no problems.

Sorry for the Newbie Question and the unjustifiable presumption clonezilla could be the cause.

OK, good. Thanks for sharing that.
