Will clonezilla boot from and clone an itanium system?

  No.
  For the time being, only i386 or X86_64 will work.
  However, of course, you can plug your hard drive on an X86 machine to clone it.

  Is there a possibility that I could just try to build the clonezilla sources on a Debian ia64 system? Is this even possible?
  
  One more question, does anybody happens to know of a utility/software that would allow me to clone disks on ia64 sytems? Other than using dd ...

    Hi Jean,
    Yes, maybe you can recompile the source of Clonezilla on IA64. However, I guess some of the problem might fail, e.g. IA64 is using EFI, and although Clonezilla does support Mac OS, it might fail on cloning the EFI of IA64. Not sure, just a guess.
