After doing a local-to-local image copy from my old Windows boot disk to a new, much larger, one, everything seems to work fine except if I try and run the Windows disk defragmenter on the new disk.

This results in either a hang or crash of the defragmenter, followed by it trashing the MountedDevices registry key.

Any insight would be appreciated.
