There is a IBM x3650 M4 machine used to be a clonezille client machine.
When i start to clone client operation system with pxe server, i met with a problem as follows:

    [11.134055] sdb:
    [11.249766] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb]Assuming drive cache:write through
    [11.249883] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb]Attached SCSI removable disk

When the process runs here, it hangs and cannot do anything. I cannot get the reason.
Plz give me some advice that what shall i do? Thank you!

Did you try clonezilla-live 20130514-raring or 2.1.2-3 in the testing release?
It comes with Linux kernel 3.8 and might support your hardware better.

Hi, Steven! A long time has been past! Thank u for your reply last time! Yes, u r right! i've changed clonezilla for another version and now it works well. i succeeded in making an image for SUSE 11 SP1. But when i do system restore with the just image, i met with another problem that puzzled me very much. The prompt information is as follows:

    ...................
    Could not find /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-3600-part2
Want me to fall back to /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-3600
    -part2? (Y/n)
Waiting for device /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-3600*-part2 to appear:...
.........................not found -- exiting to /bin/sh

i clone system in this mode:
    savedisk Save_local_disk_as_an_image

i do restore in this mode:
    restoredisk Restore_an_image_to_local_disk

i cannot get the reason. Could you plz give me some advice ? Thank u.

IIRC, SuSE uses hardware related ID in its /etc/fstab. Therefore if you restore the image to different of hardware, it might fail to find the hard drive.
Therefore it's better to change its /etc/fstab to use UUID.
Since you have restored the system, I suggest you to boot Clonezilla live on that machine, and mount the system partition of your SuSE, and change the /etc/fstab.

    Steven.
