We are using clonezilla to duplicate a windows 7 pro x64 install to multiple devices. The gold image contains two NICS, one for use on a multicast network, one for LAN management. The restore goes smoothly from NFS to disk, however once the device reboots, there appear to be three NICS in the registry. We attempt to rename 'Local Area Connection #2' to 'Video Local Area Connection' (which is what the NIC is named in the original gold) and are notified that NIC already exists. The other NIC ('Management Local Area Connection') does restore correctly.
Choosing to show hidden devices does not show the existing 'Video Local Area Connection'.
I have followed several online instructions to locating and removing adapters and protocols from the registry and re-creating the gold image with CloneZilla, however all still restore with the additional network interfaces.
Any insite would be appreciated.
Best regards,

Did you try the sysprep from MS?
