I've had good success using clonezilla to go P2V (KVM) on a couple of boxes.
I've ran into an issue with 2 in a row now. I'm doing disk 2 image over NFS and all looks fine.
When I go to start the restored debian (wheezy) machine into KVM I just get:
Welcome to GRUB!
error: file not found
Entering rescue mode ...
grub rescue>
I'll spend some more time this morning trying to figure this one out.
The other machine thats giving me an issue is a CENTOS 6.3 box.
Again the imaging looks perfect. Restore looks good too but when I boot the image in KVM I get
Booting from Hard Disk...
Error 2
This error is brilliantly descriptive :)
I'm a total clonezilla NOOB so I'm posting here in the hope that I'm just doing something stupid.
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks!

Which version of Clonezilla live did you use?
It's recommended to use AMD64 release because the way it deal with grub is better.
BTW, there is a testing release (2.4.0-7 or 20150330-*) which addresses a grub issue, you can give that one a try, too: http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php

Hi Stephen,
I tried stable releases - 2.3.2-22 and also tried alternative stable releases - 20150217-utopic
I will go to DC later today and give the one you recommend a go and report back!
Many thanks for your quick reply and great product!
Cheers
Brian
