I am trying to clone from a dying disk to a new but identical disk on a external mount via USB 3.0. Once I get Clonezilla up I try to proceed using Clonezilla Live (Default Settings, VGA 800 x 600) and then in a flash of an eye it says "Error Reading Sector 88074" (just guessing the numbers) or something like that. after that nothing happens. Is it because my drive has gone too far to the grave? I can still boot windows and open files (It takes hours to get anything open and Task Manager cannot open at all).
Thank for the help in advance.
Update: I was able to get a glimpse of the error messages that appear and then disappear in a flash. The error says:
EDD: Error 0400 reading sector 88074
again the numbers at the end are random and never the same

Could you please give Clonezilla live
20150731-wily
20150731-vivid
or
2.4.2-29
a try?
You can find them on
http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
Thanks.
Steven.
