I have a new installation of Windows on a 120GB drive which is 36GB in size. I have installed clonezilla on a 64Gb USB stick and have run that successfully but I want to store the Windows image on the same USB stick (the one that clonezilla is installed and running on). Is it possible to do this?

When I tried the USB stick doesn't appear on the clonezilla list of drives that the image can be placed on.

    Please guys can anyone help?

The problem is that I want to clone the windows image to the same USB stick I'm running clonezilla from but that USB stick does not show up in the list of drives that clonezilla shows as places where images can be saved to.

Is it just not allowed or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks for any help.

OK I found out what to do if it helps anyone else who was confused like me!

So the idea is to run clonezilla from a USB flash drive/stick and be able to save the cloned image to that same stick. In the options when booting up clonezilla there is an option to run clonezilla from RAM. Select that option and then the USB drive will then appear later as an option when selecting where to save the cloned image.
