I have a 1 TB drive running windows server 2008 R2 that i want to migrate to a RAID 1 array with two 1 TB disk drives. The raid card is installed and working and everything seems to be fine with the mirror but i am having much difficulty using clonezilla to take an image of the initial drive and move it to the mirrored drive.
The main error i am encountering is the drives aren't the same size by only a few MB! (i imagine the RAID system installed a small amount of information that is making the mirror a different size from the original drive)
I tried shrinking the partition on the original drive and that didn't help. I tried just imaging the main partition but then I couldn't boot into windows, and when i tried rewriting the MBR that didn't work either.
Has anyone attempted something similar? Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Clonezilla does not support RAID well. However, for RAID 1 it's possible to make like:
http://drbl.org/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/95_workaround_for_RAID_1.faq#95_workaround_for_RAID_1.faq
As for that you also mentioned the size is a bit smaller, you can try to enter expert mode, and use options "-k1" and "-icds" to make that.
//NOTE// Backup important data before you use Clonezilla live. Just in case.
