    Hi all,
I recently tried to copy an image to a new hard disk (320GB) that's bigger than the original drive (120GB). I followed the instructions on the how to page to the letter. I chose k instead of k1 on the first restore then realized my mistake and then restored again using k1 as an option. My new hdd is still limited by the size of the original image. My question is how do I fix this or at least how do I erase the new hdd so I can buy a new OS if it comes to that? Your replies and help are greatly appreciated.

If you choose "-k1" option when restoring, the target disk partition should be expanded.
Which version of Clonezilla live are you using ?

I don't know if i got it right - but if you only want to use the hole amount of the disk (or create any new partition or change the size of this ones) you could use gparted live-cd - looks/works like a partition-magic-clone. If you use the right settings in clonezilla you can avoid this - but if you already did the cloning this could be the tool to help you :)

        Good luck

        Volker

        Volker,
Yes, what you mentioned is correct. Either to use "-k1" option when using CLonezilla or you can do it by GParted after the clone is finished.

        Steven.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll try GParted.
