I am trying to clone the hard drive on my laptop so I can put in a bigger one. When I boot up Clonezilla I can choose an option from the splash screen, but no matter which one I choose I get a bunch of error messages and the computer hangs up. The errors look like they may be related to my GPU but I'm not sure. I have tried failsafe mode and safe video mode with no luck, and I have tried turning off acpi and iommu. I have tried the two latest stable versions of Clonezilla (downloaded today).
Can anyone help me figure this out?
Thanks!
Matt

Which version of Clonezilla live did you use?
If it's not the latest one, please give Clonezilla live >= 2.6.3-7 or 20190903-eoan a try: https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php

I think I figured it out, neither clonezilla nor Ubuntu like the new hard drive. I found a web page that helped me fix it, but now I can't find it. Basically, you have to edit grub.cfg to get it working.

OK, thanks for your feedback. Once you found that, please share the info so that others can use that when they have same issue.
Thanks.
