Assume I have to partitions C: + D: where C: contains a running WinXP system.
Now I make a backup with CloneZilla tool to Drive D:
Fine.
Now system crashes and is not rebootable.
How do I restore previous backup WITHOUT a LiveCD ?
Can I for example create a second primary partition called "Cupe:", then start a second WinXP from there
and restore the backup located on D: to the first primary partition C: ?
Keep in mind that only one of the two primary partitions C: and Cdupe: can be active at a time and normally
they cannot see each other.
Is this restore possible anyway?
Peter

It's possible, if the image file exists.
You can either use live USB or put Clonezilla live on another partition to make it.
