I am using clonzilla 1.0.x and I can perform an image running either -z1 or -z3. However, when I try to run a restore, I get the error "Can't read the following volume file: /stdin.001
Enter another full path (directory & name)"
I looked up the error on FAQ and it suggest that I should try different compression method, (-z1), which I have, but still get the same error. This is a restore from an image placed via NFS. Next, I tried to get a later version of clonezilla, which I now have 1.2.8-46.amd64 and that version won't recognize my NIC card even though it is much newer than my previous old version.
My network card is a Boradcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5709S. I either need to figure out why the old version won't run the restore or how to get the network driver to load on the newer version.
Any idea?

Did you mean Clonezilla live? If so, please give Clonezilla live 20110721-natty a try.
It comes with latest linux kernel and some proprietary firmware so it might support your NIC.
