Alright so I have a server that I am going to be migrating from one OS to another and I want do a dry run of the migration on a VM so that I can work out any kinks before I actually go through the process. The server had 3 disks raided in RAID2 with 2 partitions one for the OS and the other for shared files on the network. I took a single image of both partitions thinking I could just restore them back. Whenever I try and restore from the image onto multiple disks I get "This image was saved from more than 1 disk. This program can only deal with the image taken from one disk."

What am I doing wrong and what should I be doing to accomplish my dry run.

Never mind. I have it working now. I had the VM setup completely wrong. Brilliant.
