So, I managed to setup and get working a Clonezilla server running on Ubuntu 8.10.  It works great when all of the machines PXE botting are on the same subnet.  computers botting Windows go to the Windows DHCP server and the PXE booting clients go to the Clonezilla server.

However, in the production environment I have VLAN's ranging from 10.21.101.xxx to 10.21.145.xxx  Each VLAN runs to a managed Cisco switch.  Each port of the Cisco is programmed to manage one specific subnet.  For instance, port 1 is for VLAN 101, port 2 is for VLAN 102, etc.

In order to get Clonezilla to work, I need it to assign the correct IP address to the computer when it PXE boots and requests an IP address.  We currently have a Windows DHCP server that is correctly able to assign IP addresses, but I don't know how I would configure Clonezilla (or perhaps more correctly, DRBL) to hand out the right IP address to a PXE client based on what subnet they should be in.

    Appreciate any help or guides.

      Chris,
Did you mean you want to merge 2 DHCP services ?

      Steven.

Well, I'm not sure.  Our current Windows DHCP server has multiple VLANs configured.  If a windows client is on VLAN 102 it will get an IP address like 10.21.102.10 with a gateway of 10.21.102.1.

The problem is that Clonezilla (the way I have it configured right now) will only serve IP addresses from 10.21.101.10 to 10.21.101.255 when a PXE client boots up and requests an IP address.

What I need it to do in order for the PXE client to be able to *see* the Clonezilla server is have it serve an IP address based on the VLAN that the client is running on.  for instance, if the PXE client is plugged into port 2 of the switch it would need to serve an IP address of 10.21.102.10 and a gateway of 10.21.102.1.  If the PXE client is not served the correct IP address and gateway it will not be able to connect to the Clonezilla server.

Hopefully, this makes more sense.  I *think* what I need is to setup VLAN's in DRBL but I'm not sure how to go about it.

I should mention that in the Windows DHCP server these VLANs are referred to as Scopes.  I wonder if this is more of a DRBL question?

          Chris,
I am still not sure what your question is. Do you have any problem to set your Clonezilla SE to serve a dhcp scope with 10.21.102 ? Why you can only set it as 10.21.101 ?

          Steven.
