I need to restore an image to a hard drive, but the target computer is not at my location.
Can I just mount the HD in any old computer I've got in the office & as long as I boot from the Clonezilla CD & once restored, never boot off of the new HD, until its in the target machine, will this work?
If not. any advice appreciated!
Thanks

It should work. Just remember:
1. Backup important data before you restore the image. Just in case.
2. Boot Clonezilla live and restore the image. After the restoring is finished, shutdown the machine. Remove the destination disk for the machine, then you can boot the original OS on that machine.
