I had it running for over 48h. There litany of gibberish errors has long ago killed any time estimate I had (pushed it off the screen I guess - bad design, take note, developers), but it is is still moving through the screen, through slower then before. Should I give up or wait - how much longer?
And an the sector numbers or some other part of the gibberish be used to estimate progress? The blue/white error reports ("Can't read sector at XXX, lost data) have been giving 11-digits sector numbers (starting with 5).

With bad sectors, it's not easy to estimate. I suggest you give up Clonezilla and try the program "ddrescue" or "dd_rescue", which are available on Clonezilla live, too.
Steven.
