I have a question which I cannot seem to find the answer to regarding Clonezilla.
If I create an image from a hard drive, can I restore that image unto the hard drive which is hosting the image?
Does clonezilla write as it reads the image or is it buffered into memory?
My situation is this: I need to restore the image to the same hard drive that is hosting my image, as I do not have an available hard drive at the moment.

Choose any partition of your HDD as an image repository. For the other ones you can make the backup image with
'saveparts'.
