    Hello,

I would like Clonezilla to create a .iso file if possible of one of my partitions on my computer. I require a .iso for my VMware enviroment where I would like a virtual image (on another computer).

I tried to use the "saveparts" (save local partitions as an image) function bulti in clone zilla but the result was not in the form of an .iso file but a package of files.

The alternative method I see here is using "savedisk" (Save local disk as an image) but will that produce an .iso file of the partition/disk that I wish to create an image of?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi!

whatever option you select (either "disk" or "partition") will lead to a bunch of files in some directory somewhere.

Creating the ISO file is a matter of a second step: when you've got the image of your choice (ie partition), you start Clonezilla again and then create the ISO.

The QuickRefCard here https://sourceforge.net/projects/clonezilla/files/clonezilla_live_doc/QuickReference_Card_0.9.5/ (chapter G) might be of help, I guess ;-)

Feel free to come back if you've got any more question.
