I have started using Clonezilla live today, to backup a Win XP system which is on a hard disk with 2 NTFS partitions, to an external HD. I
have have backed up the whole disk successfully.
However, I have a problem when I attempt to back up only the primary (Windows) partition and I get to the screen asking me which partition I want to back up.
When I select the partition (sda1) and hit "enter", clonezilla re-checks all the partitions on the local and external HDs, then returns to the screen asking me to select the partition to backup.
To escape from this loop I have had to power off the machine.
Possibly I have a bad copy of Clonzezilla Live, but am asking if there is anything else that could cause this problem.
