I've had a few problems with Windows 7 images. Our XP images rarely have issues and if they do they are resolved by either reimaging or recreating the image.
I made an image of a Windows 7 Dell Latitude 13 like i usually do for any other machines. When i go to use the image on another machine it gets to 96.33% and doesn't go any further. The elapsed time when it reaches the 96.33% is at about 11 min. It continues to increase until it stops on 15 min exactly. I've tried reimaging and also recreating the image to have it stop at the same spot. Is there a different setup when i make an image of Windows 7 than Windows XP in the clonezilla server?

Are you sure it's not hardware issue? E.g. bad blocks on the hard drive?
Or maybe you'd better to run "chkdsk /f" on your MS windows before you image it.
Steven.
