I have all the data from another computer saved onto one of my folders on my desktop.  I have an image of a .gho file and extracted all the data from that file and placed in to that folder.  Is there a way for me to create an image using clonezilla of only that folder?  I want to create a bootable disk using all the data from that folder

Your help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Not sure what you meant. If you were asking if Clonezilla can use the image files from ghost, the answer is no. Clonezilla uses its own image format.

    Hello Steven,

I was wondering if it is possible to image certain folders instead of the whole drive.  I understand that when you image you will need to include in the image the partition and other things.
I have a folder that have system files inside and other files.  I want to be create a boot disk that loads these files onto the newly created computer automatically.  Is this option possible?
    You time is greatly appreciated.

    Andy

"if it is possible to image certain folders instead of the whole drive." -> No. Actually Clonezilla uses partclone to image the file system. Partclone does not know individual files. It only knows where the "used blocks" are.

Will there be something that will allow for a image of just the folder in the future?  This will be extremely helpful.  I back up a hard drive, save it to my desktop, and work on the files or do whatever to it.  When I'm ready, can image folder and use it to create a boot disk and have it easily loaded onto another computer.

    Maybe…
For the time being, you can try to use virtual machine or a program called "partclone.util" (http://www.idealworldinc.com/partclone-utils/) to mount the image and extract the files for folders you want.
