if i do a quick format instead of a full one, install windows and then clone that partition to another hard drive using clonezilla, will i be able to access and restore the undeleted data from first hard drive on a second hard drive? another words, does that unformatted data get transferred into the image? because if it does get into images, i should always do full format then… please explain, thank you

Clonezilla, to be precise, partclone or ntfsclone, will honor the new file system meta data info which you have formatted, no matter it's quick or full. Therefore the unformatted data won't be transferred.
