I run into slight problem with my set up. I'll describe what I want to do and what I have installed atm.
I have a dedicated machine with 8GB ram and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS running samba share on 1 TB hard drive. Share is mounted in /Media/STORAGE/SAMBA - and other sub directories.
This is configured on 192.168.0.x static ip . I have second Network card with IP of 172.16.25.1 also static which serves as dhcp server. This NIC is connected directly to the machine I want to backup. I use Clonezilla running from usb stick using Yumi software.

A lot of this might not be relevant however what happens is.
When i boot Clonezilla from that stick and select Samba server option. I type ip of a server share and it detects it no problem. Problem is however that it shows only 93 GB of space on that share althogh I have 1 TB drive… on top of that 20 odd GB is already taken and I am left with the rest.

Now depending on the size of the free space I either can make one backup or can fail due to low free space.

I do not know if this is samba related or something with clonezilla… If you want me to do some tests go ahead just tell me exactly what to do as I'm pretty newbie to linux itself.

Just to add - Share itself works and backup up also works.. just the limit imposed on share seems to be an issue here.
