    Hi folks,

Our imaging specialist was let go due to covid. Unfortunately, he left no documentation whatsoever on his methods. He has some Windows 10 images which are mostly 13-15GB in size. We got some new machines, nothing special and similar builds. Hard drives are both 500GB. One of our guys tried and ended up with a 60GB image with pretty much identical software installed. I had to learn how to use Clonezilla on the fly and I was able to get it down to 30GB using a newer version of Clonezilla, it had asked me to choose my compression type. It only gave 2 choices.

On top of that, normally the restore time (imaging another device) took about 20-30 minutes. Ours take about 1.5 to 2 hours.

What could we be doing wrong here? Thanks!

Perhaps he used gparted to reduce the system partitions to a minium size before cloning (and then again to increase the partition size aftewards).

By the way, I attempted to use email to post to the HELP forum, but I seem to have been unable to do so. This could be becuase my regestered email address is not one from which I send email. My registered email address is a forwarder. How can one start a discussion using the Web interface rather than sending an email?
