I'm confused. My pc (under Windows 10) crashed yesterday and after verifications , I decided to restore a recent clone I made with Clonezilla (just after the W10 installation).
But when I try to restore the image, the process stops and shows the following error : Fsync error: errno 5
My clone has been verified just after I done it, and was stored on the same HDD since the beginning.
I made the clone with the "stable releases - 2.4.2-32" and tried to restore with it AND with the "alternative stable releases - 20150805-vivid" but both shows the same error.
I had an idea last night because I thought that maybe the fact that I changed the IDE mode to AHCI on my motherboard right after the creation of the clone could have been the problem.... but even when I configure my motherboard to IDE, as it was before, I have this issue.
Can you help me with this error, please ?

I found a solution. In fact, the error wasn't linked to the clone in itself. It was linked to the SSD were I tried to restore the clone. I tried to format it with the Windows 7 installation (I tried to restore Windows 7 before W10, to keep the ability to have a key for W10), but the Windows program was probably didn't work correctly.
I put my SSD on a USB dock and I formatted it from another computer. I put it back on the original PC and ran Clonezilla. And then it was OK, the clone was able to be copied.
Phew ! What a relief.
Hope that will help.
