To be forthright, my Windows admin experience is limited. I thought to use VirtualBox to create a base Windows install with updates and fundamentally necessary software (browser, pdf reader, MS Office, etc) installed using audit mode within the VM. Once I exited audit mode/generalized the OS I shut down the VM and used Clonezilla to create an image of it.
Having used Clonezilla with success in other situations I didn't think it would be an issue but this newer Dell doesn't seem to like the image at all. Are there any known issues in using Clonezilla with VirtualBox and following this method to clone an image in a VM to a physical disk? Is there a better way to do this? Any guidance is appreciated!

I belive the drivers will be the issue since the hardware for virtualbox is different from your Dell machine. You might be able to make it work by installing "sysprep" from MS to your Windows then take an image.
