hi folks
i have the following problem. I have copied my Sidux partition (ReiserFS) to my second disk. It seems to be done normal (i have changed the default to not reinstall grub on my target disk - because there is also a bootable partition which i can start from grub on my first disk). If i now take a look with Partition Magic the partition is unformatted. If i start again Clonezilla live i can choose this partition for copy source.
But what i want to do (nothing doesn't work if you didn't test it) is a new entry in grub to see if the copied partiton works and in desaster case to copy it back. Did i have missed a point or is this behavior niormal? If i want to do the things i have described should i change more from the default settings or was this allright?
Answers would be very nice because i'm really searching for a backup/clone tool which can handle everything and what i have read Clonezilla is the only one which can do it.
thx

So you mean you used clonezilla live to do device to device copy and it failed ? What's the error messages ? Or the restored partition can not be read ? Are you sure it did everything and no error messages ?

no it doesn't fail. But in short words: what did i have to do if i want a clone my sidux partiton and this clone could be choosed in Grub (so i have after cloning this exact the same files in the second partiton but i can also start this (target) partition and also the other (source) partition with grub).

(excuse my horrible english but i'm not a native english guy - sorry for that)
