Let the original init take place.

    Hi.

I have some issues with CloneZilla server. When I start the server, and choose whether I want to save or restore image, the clients ARE able to PXE-boot, but during the initial phase, they come up with a "Let the original init take place" error. I have re-run CloneZilla configuration and downloaded a few missing packs related to Clonezilla, but that work either.

I haven't been able to find much help at search engines.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Steven

    Thanks for the reply.

Do you think CloneZilla live will work with Ubuntu 9.10? Appearantly there are issues related to Karmic boot scripts.

I found this thread with more information about the error message: https://sourceforge.net/projects/clonezilla/forums/forum/799287/topic/3459318
Actually I can see, that you are the one who posted it :-)

Where can I find DRBL unstable for Ubuntu 9.10? I haven't been able to find the package on their website or a download link to add to Ubuntus repository.

It doesn't seem to appear in Synaptics either.

Anyway. If the Live CD edition is functioning in Ubuntu 9.10, I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. If not, I'm probably going to re-intall the server, with a (properly) supported OS like SuSe.

    You can follow
    http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-server-edition/use_clonezilla_live_in_drbl.php
to use Clonezilla live as the OS of clients when your clients are running Clonezilla job.
Remember you have to add DRBL's repository to your /etc/apt/sources.list.

    Steven.
