Does anyone have a write up for getting clonezilla working on a fresh install of 18.04? Some issues I am seeing are as follows. debconf has ubuntu in the filename and debconf-utils is not installing because of it. drblpush -i is not seeing the static ip address I setup in the netplan yaml file.

Please show the error messages when you run:
    sudo drblsrv -i
    sudo drblpush -i
You can take some pictures then post them. Thanks.

The pic I am attaching is related to running apt install drbl. This was in 18.04 desktop. I am not getting these errors in 18.04 server. Also, my drblpush -i issue seems to be related to me forgetting to run drblsrv -i. But i will make sure that drblpush -i is still not a issue in the am when I re-run the correct install sequence. Just an observation, getting netplan syntax to be happy is annoying.

So this looks like the image repository issue.
What's the content of your /etc/apt/sources.list?
Have you tried to switch to other Ubuntu repository because maybe the one you are using has broken status.

initially I added the repositories listed for 18.04
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic main restricted universe multiverse # (Or any Ubuntu mirror site near you)
    deb http://free.nchc.org.tw/drbl-core drbl stable

In the am i can comment out the ubuntu repo and let it go with defaults.
I also tried unstable on drbl-core, I believe it was still the same result.

What the output of the these two commands?
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get upgrade

I am not with that system until tomorrow. But when I ran apt update after putting in the repo's there were no errors. apt upgrade was clean also. I could be wrong with this observation, but it seems related to ubuntu putting "ubuntu" into some the version numbering in pkg files. The first error "debconf-utils : Depends: debconf (= 1.5.66) but 1.5.66ubuntu1 is to be installed" .

I am going to try it with 18.04 desktop in a VM real quick. Let me see if the errors repeat.

No issues on the VM.. Sooo, maybe I will just blow that machine away and try fresh again.

So I re-installed this morning. I did not let software update do any updates. All updates were done through apt update/upgrade. I did not have the same errors when running sudo apt-get install drbl.
The reason we went down this rabbit hole is because of uefi on Dell OpiPlex 5060's. We are able to capture images from these using the 4.18 kernel and option 3 of using clonzilla live for client OS. Using Kernel 5.0 the client was taking along time to attempt to move past "Clonezilla image dir: /media/img/images". Switching the kernel to 4.18 in drblsrv -i and using option 2 in clonezilla box options we had another hangup after the 1st part was cloned and sat at "Change mode to 600 for these files: ..." Attaching images.

Doing another computer. I mis-spoke about where I am getting the error. The unmet dependencies are during the run of sudo drblsrv -i.

No idea. I did a fresh installation about Ubuntu 18.04, and ran "drblsrv -i" and "drblpush -i", as described here:
    https://drbl.org/installation/
The process about drblsrv and drblpush is attached.
    Everything ran smoothly.

I have had mixed results. The first system I setup was working fine when I restarted fresh. Then the 2nd system just would give me the same errors. On the 3rd or 4th time of running through it, it just started working. It's almost like it is a certain repository location has out of sync data.

I am having to rebuild some of the Clonezilla servers and the issue of deconf-utils is still happening during drblsrv -i. Thoughts?

Which version of DRBLdid you install? How did you install and configure that? Please tell us in detail, step by step so that we can reproduce the issue then fix it. Thanks.

Initially this is using the current Ubuntu desktop installer. 18.04.3
    using https://drbl.org/installation/02-install-required-packages.php as the guide

I tried testing and stable in /etc/apt/sources.list for DRBL. Had the error in the attached image using both stable and testing when running sudo drblsrv -i

I just tried the Ubuntu Server 18.04.3 (non-Live) and I do not get the error and sudo drblsrv -i completes correctly.

    So your issue is gone?

I don't have 2 systems to test side by side.. But when using Ubuntu Server I do not get the error in drblsrv -i that I get when using Ubuntu Desktop version. This is the same error that I posted initially. I don't know the best way to debug what is happeing with the repository when using Ubuntu Desktop.
