Hey all, I have a bit of a non-standard request and I am curious what the correct approach here is.
We have an environment spread between multiple sites that we'd like to use Clonezilla in, to host a set of golden ISOs that we then clone to a set of PCs. We'd like to be able to clone to several PCs at a time using multicast. In addition, we want to avoid configuring or using PXE as we've had rough experiences using it and we are not the end user for the environment we are configuring, and we'd like everything to be as simple as possible using the live CDs.

I've successfully used Clonezilla Live CD Lite Server and a set of Clonezilla Live CD Lite Clients, but booting into a live environment means its configuration is lost every time. We'd like to install Clonezilla Server Edition (DRBL) onto a server, and then Clonezilla Live CD Lite Client's featureset to clone our clients. I've tried doing this, but it would appear that DRBL server only supports PXEboot, not the Live CD Lite Server behavior.

Is there something I'm missing? I'd expect that 1. one installed statically configured server responding to 2. a set of PCs booted with a Clonezilla Live CD Lite Client would be a more common configuration.

Advice?
