I'm experiencing an issue with Clonezilla Server. I've created a VM on Proxmox and installed Clonezilla Server to perform network-based cloning. However, every time I restore an image via PXE, the system uses nearly all available RAM for disk caching.
While this behavior is normal in Linux (due to page cache usage), it's affecting performance in environments with limited memory. I would appreciate guidance on how to optimize memory usage and limit this caching during the restore process.
So when was the performance affected? When the image was saved?
How did you run Clonezilla SE? The client is using NFS to save the image? Or you use the samba service from Proxmox?

Maybe an update will fix it?

Bom dia Steven,
