Did you mean "AHCI SATA low-level driver" ?
If so, it depends on the kernel.
Clonezilla SE uses all the programs of OS from your server, so if the kernel is too old, maybe it won't support new hardware.
I suggest you can try to use the latest GNU/Linux, say Ubuntu 8.10 or Fedora 9/10 to be your Clonezilla SE server.

I'm running AHCI mode on my SATA drives and I was able to Clone my system with CloneZilla Live.
I built my computer while Ubuntu 8.10 was in beta. It didn't work on my motherboard then. A week before it's official release, they announced support for the newest kernel. Once it was released, my new computer worked like a charm, even in AHCI mode whereas previously it didn't.
Give the newer version a shot. Worked for me.

Does Clonezilla support drives using AHCI? Doesn't seem to work, doesn't see the drives.
If Clonezilla doesn't support it now is it in the works for a future release?
Thanks
