When I restore an image, it hangs at different points each time. It does it for multicast, broadcast and unicast. The setup is about 30 machines at a time connected to a few unmanaged switches. Server is Ubuntu 10.04. I tried different smaller groups of laptops, different combinations of switches, and even unicast to a single machine. None made it all the way, except once I got lucky. I can't narrow down what it could be, if it's a connectivity issue or the server.
If it is a connectivity issue, where maybe one machine stops responding, is there any way to set a timeout or something on Clonezilla SE where if it doesn't hear from a machine after X seconds to drop it and go on without it?
Any ideas?

From what you have mentioned your cases seem to be random… I guess maybe this is hardware issue, or kernel/hardware support issue. Did you do a memtest? Did you check the quality of network cables?
