    Hello,

I used clonezilla live version 1.1.0-8 to clone disk to image, via network, I tried ssh and samba both are very slow.. the average speed is 130MB/min.

    My computer configuration is:
WD 80GB SATAII hard disk, Intel Pentium D 3.2GHz CPU, 1GB memory and a Broadcom Gigabit network apadter.

I also tried using local disk to clone disk to image (2 hard disk, disk to image) and the average speed is just 560MB/min, I haven't choose any type of compression. Compare with Ghost it is very slow disk clone.. clonezilla takes 2 more hours to clone 20GB data. Is it normal ?

    Thanks you in advance

For network backup, it depends on the local hardware, network speed and the server's hardware. Some people mentioned that they can saved or restore at the speed about 1 GB/min. This really depends.
For local backup, maybe the problem you encountered is on kernel support problem. Either you try a older clonezilla live, or wait for Clonezilla live experimental next release. It will come with kernel 2.6.26.
