It seems that the same error occurs in the previous version(s), but it doesn't ask you to press "Enter" to continue and the message disappears too quickly. That's why I haven't noticed it.

I get the same error with "clonezilla-live-20170220-yakkety-amd64" and also with "clonezilla-live-2.5.0-33-amd64" release. When I choose the "cmd" option, it jumps to the terminal comand line and keeps waiting.
Any suggestion?

When you choose Enter_shell in Clonezilla live 2.4.9-17 you get the following:
After pressing Enter you can choose cmd and it works.
There is no such file /var/log/clonezilla.log.
Tested on a physical machine and in a VM. The behavior is identical.

I get the same error but it doesn't seem to affect the operations.
Thanks for the bug report. This issue was fixed in the git repository and will be used in the next testing Clonezilla live release.

@Luis,
What did you mean? I tried Clonezilla live 20170220-yakkety here, and the result is like the attached screenshot. No such warning.
