This is the main reason for which I went back to use clonezilla-live-3.2.1-9-amd64. :-) (and the second reason is that 3.2.1-9 is more stable/reliable)

At the moment, no. If you do not connect to internet, it won't ask.
If you configure the network use the TUI to internet, Clonezilla will ask if you want to sync. If you do not want, you can say no.
If you just use command to configure the network settings, e.g., use "sudo dhclient -v eth0", Clonezilla won't ask if you want to sync time via inernet. That feature only exists in the TUI when configuring internet.
Of course, in the future we can implement an option to disable it by default.

"I unplugged the internet cable but Clonezilla asked me to set the time manually." -> When it asks "Do you want to synchronize the time on this Clonezilla Live system?" You should be able to say "No" to skip it.
Or maybe there are some scenarios that we did not expect. Henc eyou can tell us the details step-by-step how you do that from the booting of Clonezilla live. We will do our best to fix that.
Thanks.

We have added a boot parameter "ocs_time_sync" which you can assign to disable time sync.
You can use "ocs_time_sync=no" in /boot/grub/grub.cfg. With this, Clonezilla won't ask you to do time sync.
Please give testing Clonezilla live >= 3.3.1-20 or 20251227-* a try: https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php

Hey,
are there any preseed options for the new "sync via internet" function?
I'll probably never use it and would like to deactivate (especially the prompt) it entirely.
thank you!
kind regards

I tried this and it did not work. Sorry. I unplugged the internet cable but Clonezilla asked me to set the time manually.
