    Hi folks,

I'm happily using Clonezilla Live (booting to RAM) with Surface Pro 5's and 7's but we recently got a batch of Surface Pro 9's and I'm struggling with keyboard input a little. I am able to use the SP9 keyboard to select the Boot to RAM option, but once I get past that, I have to plug in an external keyboard to do all additional input.

Anyone know if there's a tweakable setting I could change somewhere that would make the Boot to RAM option behave like the initial launch screen? This is definitely software I couldn't live without so I'm ever so grateful for it regardless, but it would be nice not to have to have a giant keyboard living on my desk just to plug in when I want to image SP9s!

    Thanks in advance,
    Eric.

    PS: Version is clonezilla-live-3.1.2-22-amd64

It looks like this is related to Linux kernel. Have you tried newer, testing Clonezilla live? e.g., 3.1.3-10 or 20240624-oracular?

It comes with newer Linux kernel so it might support your hardware better.

In the end, the solution has been to wait for Microsoft to update the Surface Pro 9 firmware for anyone else who was struggling with this. I just noticed today that everything is working as expected finally after applying all the latest patches that came up on today's (Aug 2024) Patch Tuesday.

    Great. Thanks for clarifying that.
