    Hello.

    Please Help me.

    I backed up with clonezilla on my DELL precision T1700.
    OS is Windows 7 64bit on intel SSD 500GB.
    Version is "stable - 2.7.2-39 amd 64 ISO"

    I chosed uncompressed as the compression format.

    When I restore, the following message is displayed and it stops.

    "clonezilla ocs-live-general finished with error"

    When I opened the error log, it said "unknown format".

    It contains important data, so I definitely want to restore it.
    Is there a bug in creating an uncompressed backup image?

    Can anyone give me an answer on how to restore it?

    I can not reproduce this issue here. Could you please take some photos about the error on the screen the post them?
    BTW, please also show us the content of the image file by running:
    ls -alF /home/partimag/YOUR_IMAGE/
    Replace "YOUR_IMAGE" with your image name.
    Thanks.

    Steven

    So you choose -q in the expert mode, instead of the default option -q2?
    I believe this is a bug for using ntfsclone with no compression in Clonezilla. We will try to fix it asap.
    It's not recommended to use ntfsclone since it's only for some special cases. Partclone is a better choice.
    For the moment, I suggest you backup the image dir first. Then you can follow this to manually extract the image or restore it. It's recommended to do that in a virtual machine or spare machine:
    https://drbl.org/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/42_manually_ntfsclone.faq#42_manually_ntfsclone.faq
    Or you can wait for us to fix this issue if you can wait.

    Hi Shin,

    Try restoring with the latest version of Rescuezilla: https://rescuezilla.com/download

    I have tested and it can restore uncompressed NTFSclone images created by Clonezilla. Rescuezilla is fully compatible with Clonezilla images but works differently internally so works in this case!

    @Shin,
    You can give Clonezilla live >= 2.7.3-6 or 20210701-* a try:
    https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
    This issue should have been fixed.
    Please let us know the results. Thanks.

    @Rescuezilla
    Unfortunately, Rescuezilla did not load the image data for sda2 and sda3.

    @Steven Shiau
    Thank you so much.
    I confirmed that it can be restored with the following ISO files.

    clonezilla-live-2.7.3-6-amd64.iso
    clonezilla-live-20210701-hirsute-amd64.iso
    clonezilla-live-20210701-impish-amd64.iso

    I am very happy thanks to you.

    @Steven Shiau

    By the way, I have also confirmed that older versions than 2.7.2-39 cannot be restored.
    I'm glad to help you.

    What part of Clonezilla was the problem?

    Thanks for asking.
    It's because the newer program "file" can tel the image is saved from ntfsclone now so it gives different results when running "file -Ls". It used to only show "data". To fix this, we have to change it in ocs-functions. You can refer to this commit:
