I've been trying to image a Surface Go also, I can get it to boot to the Clonezilla screen & then show the option for the screen size, I select the one I want & press enter, the screen just then sits with a Clonezilla background and does nothing.
Would also be interested if there is a way to get this working?

Which version of Clonezilla live did you all use? Have you tried testing Clonezilla live >= 2.6.3-3 or 20190821-eoan?
BTW, please also take pictures about the last step Clonezilla fails. It would be easier for us to understand where goes wrong there.
Thanks.

Since I have no Supface Go here, so I do not know how to test it and reproduce this issue. It seems your issue is about grub or the Linux kernel/hardware support issue. Therefore, please wait for the programs to be updated in the future testing Clonezilla live. Normally every week we have one release, so you can try it occasionally.

I have been trying to image a Surface Go Business but have been unsuccessful.
I have been trying to boot clonezilla-live-20190903-disco-amd64.iso written to USB flash drive using Rufus 3.6.
The same USB flash drive boots successfully on a Supermicro X11SCH-F and on a Supermicro X11SPM-TF both of them in EFI Mode with Secure Boot enabled so I am reasonably confident that the copy is good.
With USB set as the first boot option on the Surface Go Business it always appears to fall through to the second, Windows Boot Manager, option whether Secure Boot is enabled or disabled. What options have others found more successful?

I noticed that Rufus 3.7 is now available so I tried using that, again unsuccessfully.
However, the following worked for me:
Ignore the flash drive instructions on the Clonezilla website :-)
Write zeroes over the flash drive (probably unnecessary, but ensures repeatability)
On the Surface, quick format the flash drive to fat32 using the default settings
Unzip clonezilla-live-20190903-disco-amd64.zip to the filesystem on the flash drive
[Optional] Turn off BitLocker on the C: drive
Boot from the flash drive (no need to change other Surface UEFI settings)
Clonezilla!
[Optional] Turn on BitLocker on the C: drive
My suspicion is that the media checking in the Surface UEFI is more rigorous than on some other UEFI implementations. This flash drive still works on the Supermicro systems in EFI Mode but is unlikely to boot on legacy systems ...
Note that my system is a Surface Go for Business with the 256Gb (non-SED) SSD running Windows 10 Enterprise (Insider Programme/Slow). It would be interesting to know of this also works with other systems using Surface UEFI.

Great. Thank you very much for sharing this. Since I only have surface pro 3, which is very old. Your sharing is very important for Clonezilla users. Appreciate.

Anyone been able to image surface go's with Clonezilla. I can not get it to work with adapters via USB C. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Hi Steven,
I've just tried using Clonezilla 2.6.3 & i'm still getting as far as the previous version I tried.
It will load up & give me the screen for the display size, I select 800x600 & then it goes to the next screen & just stays on that.
Hope the pictures help
