No

Version: Clonezilla live 1.2.6-40 2010-11-06 i686

Problem Statement:

System prompts "No account with NO PASSWD sudo privilege was found! ... Program terminated!", and then it gets stuck as login prompt as the following, pending the user's input.

Furthermore, the changelog mentioned the bug, "startpar: service(s) returnred failure x11-common", is solved. But it happens again on my machine before "No account with NOPASSWD..." message appears.

Debian GNU/Linux squeeze/sid localhost.localdomain tty1
localhost.localdomain login: _

The problem occurs on a laptop with Intel Atom processor, Ethernet and Wireless NIC. But, it does not happen on another desktop PC with Intel Pentium D processor, and Ethernet NIC.

Which version of Clonezilla live did you use?
Did you customize the boot parameter? If so, did you miss the boot parameter "config" or "live-config"?

    Steven.

For the laptop, Clonezilla is booted from a external USB DVD optical drive. For the desktop, it is booted from the internal DVD optical drive.

I did not specify further parameter for booting. It remains all default.

Do you have any other version of Clonezilla live installed in the harddrive?
Or maybe you can try Clonezilla live 20101223-maverick?

    Steven.

Indeed, there is a existing installation in harddrive /dev/sda3. It causes the stable release unable to boot correctly. Is possible to make the error message more clearly?

Clonezilla live 20101223-maverick works, but the system behavior seems weird. The console will hang if I issue a time consuming instruction. For example, I issue grub-install, it will have no any output message. But, once I press a/any key , the output will all show up. It has completed the instruction without any informing message and back to the user prompt.

At last, thanks for your help.

"there is a existing installation in harddrive /dev/sda3. It causes the stable release unable to boot correctly. Is possible to make the error message more clearly?" -> You can follow this to change the path and add more options to isolate them:
    http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-live/livehd.php

For Clonezilla live 20101223-maverick, try to choose the safe vga mode in the boot menu.

    Steven.
