Issue with Extended Partitions
A partition and disk imaging/cloning program

Not sure is this is helpful to the developers in any way.
I have been cloning and restoring 3 primary partitions split across two separate hard disks in my laptop. All has been fine whilst I have been preparing my images so I had various recovery points. I finally got around to creating the extended partitions which hold my data and now CloneZilla crashes between the initial graphical screen and the choose language page. I have been using Alternate Stable 20100330.
I have just tried Alternate Testing 20100511 which seems to work ok.
The determiner for me seemed to be creating 7 logical partitions inside an extened partition on each disk.
Many thanks, CloneZilla is brilliant. :-)
Could you confirm that Clonezilla live 20100511-lucid works there? If so, recently we will move the lucid-based clonezilla live to the stable branch.
Thanks.
Steven.
Yes, I've swapped to 20100511-lucid completely due to the issue with extended partitions. I have had no cloning or restoring issues and I've probably done half a dozen of images clones and a dozen restores with it.
I am having one issue with 20100511, but these relate to what happens after the cloning/restoring has finished. Sometimes, the screen goes blank after it completes the job (successfully it appears), I then need to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to get any response, which usually comes in the form of the old style computer beep and the CD ejects. Hitting enter will then shut the machine down.
Thanks again, hope this helps.
