Also, shim v15.8 turned on SBAT policy and revoke almost all existing linux installs and live linux bootables. I have to boot into this clonezilla version and use mokutils to delete the SBAT policy in order to use my other live cd and debian installs.

Please give testing Clonezilla live a try, i.e., >= 3.1.3-16 or 20240715-*:

Someone has confirmed this version works:

As for the shim, we use juse the one from Debian/Ubuntu repository. Therefore if anything you'd like to suggest, maybe you can report that to Debian Or Ubuntu.
