clonezilla 2.6 very slow cloning disk(hdd) to disk(hdd) and normal with 2.5 why ?

cloning linux mint Tara 19 XFCE
Linux m-desktop 4.15.0-76-generic #86-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 17 17:24:28 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

cloning 1to to 1to with cd live. ( beginner mode)

with clonezilla-live-2.6.2-15-i686-pae.iso ~ i stop at 14h ....
same with clonezilla-live-2.6.4-10-i686-pae.iso

with clonezilla-live-2.5.6-22-i686-pae.iso ~ 45 mn, and works fine.

why ?

This might be related to the Linux kernel/hardware support issue. Have you tried Clonezilla live >= 2.6.5-17 or 20200211-focal?
They come with newer Linux kernels so the results might be different.
